Biography

Comte de Mirabeau was born on March 17, 1749 in Le Bignon-Mirabeau, Loiret, France. Comte was a writer, known for Softly from Paris (1986). Comte was married to Émilie de Marignane. Comte died on April 2, 1791 in Paris, France.

Famous French writer and politician of the French revolution, often sent to prison when a young man by his father, the economist 'Victor Riqueti', Marquis de Mirabeau (1715-1789).

Children: Victor Gabriel Emmanuel de Riquetti, died 1778, by Émilie. Gabrielle-Sophie de Riquetti, died 1790, by his lover Sophie-Marie-Thérèse-Richard de Ruffey, with whom Mirabeau had eloped to Switzerland.

Mirabeau was a cousin of the infamous Marquis de Sade. The two had hated each other since childhood; when they were sent to the same prison in 1780, Sade spied Mirabeau from his cell window and they began to verbally harrass one another.
