Biography

Damo Suzuki was born on January 16, 1950 in Oiso, Japan. He was a composer and actor, known for Broken Embraces (2009), Inherent Vice (2014) and The Gentlemen (2019). He was married to Gitta Suzuki-Mouret. He died on February 9, 2024 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

I can't sing so I use the voice as an instrument. I'm not so much interested in anything in particular, that's why I sing about nothing. I improvise melody and texture too. Sometimes it sounds like English, French or German, but it really is the language of the Stone Age.
