Biography

Kevin Mayuga is a Manila-based filmmaker whose work blends cinematic visuals, striking imagery, and powerful music to tell authentic stories about people and their passions. With a background as a copywriter in advertising, he brings a sharp understanding of agencies, brands, and audiences to his commercial work, allowing him to bridge creativity with strategy seamlessly.

His 2023 debut feature, When This Is All Over, premiered at the Philippines' biggest independent film festival, Cinemalaya, before screening internationally at the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy and the New York Asian Film Festival. The film received multiple awards, including Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Music.

Kevin recently directed Alon Ng Kabayanihan, a cinematic trailer-PSA on the West Philippine Sea, one of the Philippines' most ambitious branded social projects, cementing his reputation as a director who can balance scale, emotion, and cultural urgency.

Across narrative films and branded content, his style is defined by bold, cool, and cinematic storytelling that often speaks louder through visuals than words. His goal is to continue shaping authentic and vulnerable stories, bringing his distinct narrative filmmaking style to the international stage, particularly across Asia.

Outside of film, Kevin is a passionate photographer, DJ, and event curator. He's also a proud girl-dad, drawing daily inspiration from family life into the stories he tells.
