Biography

Evelina Manna is a model, actress and film producer. From a very young age, she was drawn to artistic expression through dance and acting. She quickly attracted the attention of major international fashion photographers, represented by her historic and prominent Milan-based agency, Bravemodels. Her first appearance was for Harper's Bazaar Italia, with the Valentino Haute Couture collection "special" photographed by Gianmarco Chieregato. In Paris, she posed for Vogue France with the great Guy Bourdin. After completing her studies, earning her elementary school teaching diploma and beginning her university studies with a major in philosophy, Evelina moved first to Paris and then to New York, where she worked with other world-renowned photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Francesco Scavullo, Ellen Von Unwerth, Peter Lindbergh, Tony Kelly, and Andre Rau, as well as with the most important magazines in the field: Harper's Bazaar, Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan, Officiel, Allure, Maxime, GQ Italia, Panorama, First, Playboy America, Style, GQ British, and more. Her passion for art and cinema, born as a child, continued over the years. In the United States, she attended Larry Moss's acting classes (LA) and studied Martha Graham's dance technique. But it was her meeting with Susan Strasberg in London that led her to attend his internship at the Actor's Studio. Together, they prepared her theatrical debut: "Annie Hall," based on the Woody Allen film of the same name. Upon returning to Italy, Evelina staged two more plays for the OFF theater: "La Telefonata" by Dorothy Parker and "Ubutango" by Alfredo Giuliani, directed by Luca Archibugi. Her theater work was followed by the TV movie "Padre Pio" and the miniseries "La Guerra è finita," broadcast on Rai 1. This was followed by her big-screen debut: "Casomai" by Alessandro D'Alatri and "Una Bellissima Bambina" by Mimmo Calopresti, the latter presented at the 61st Venice Film Festival. Her film career afforded her the opportunity to work with Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, who cast her as Princess Simin in the blockbuster "Alexander," starring Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, and Anthony Hopkins. During this period, she alternated between film and fashion for major glamorous magazines. In 2010, she returned to television: she starred, with Enrico Lo Verso, in the Mediaset television remake of "La Donna Velata." That same year, she starred in "Eve and the Munchies," a popular Mediaset sitcom featuring a group of irreverent puppets. In 2011, Evelina Manna decided to embark on a new professional challenge: the creation of Moodyproduction, an independent production company. With Moodyproduction, she created a trilogy of commercials and docufilms dedicated to social issues:

• "Breaking the Silence," a campaign against violence against women for the European Union, for which she acted and produced.
• "A Day & a Minute," a short film on the theme of immigration, presented at the Taormina Film Festival.
• "Let's Fall in Love," directed by Pappi Corsicato, a commercial against homophobia, which closes the trilogy.

The commercial opened the 2013 Palermo Pride parade and was presented as a Special Event at the Venice Film Festival. In 2014, Moodyproduction co-produced its first feature film, Vinodentro (2014-2015), about the world of wine: a noir comedy directed by Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani, starring Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Lambert Wilson, which was presented at the Venice Film Festival - Giornate degli Autori. At the same time, thanks to her experience in the world of fashion and image, she collaborates with several prestigious national and international magazines and publishing groups. In 2021-2022, she is the face of the national advertising campaign for D'Avossa Gioielli - Alta Gioielleria, with large billboards in Rome and Milan. Her latest project in development is the TV film dedicated to the figure of the partisan Teresa Mattei and the girls of the Constituent Assembly, entitled "Chicchi and the Girls of the Mimosa." Protagonist of the 2023 cover of Wall Street Italia, in 2024 she produced a short film, "Noi e Nina", on Clowntherapy, which sees her behind the camera for the first time as co-director. The short film will be further developed in a TV series.
