Biography

Evi Gjoni is a film director and screenwriter from Tirana, Albania. She has written and directed two short films, Sheets and Red Mud, both supported by the Albanian National Film Centre. Her debut short, Sheets, premiered at the 2023 Trieste Film Festival, winning both the Audience Award and Jury Special Mention, and went on to receive nine international awards. She received national funding for her first feature, Valentin's Day, and was selected for the Sarajevo Talents Script Station in 2025.
