- Joe Sullivan was born on November 5, 1906 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an actor and composer, known for Kerouac, the Movie (1984), Lining the Blues (1939) and Adventures in Jazz (1949). He died on October 13, 1971 in San Francisco, California, USA.
- Chicagoan jazz pianist. Began on the theatre and vaudeville circuit in the early 20's. At one-time accompanist to Bing Crosby in the 1930's. Member of bands led by Roger Wolfe Kahn, Enoch Light, Ozzie Nelson and Red Nichols. Later career dogged by ill-health.
