Souki Mehdaoui is a director based in Los Angeles, represented by Futuristic Films. Her directorial debut "Firelei Baez" won her Best Director at the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience and a Nowness Pick. As a commercial director, she's worked with Doordash, Meetup, TED, Refinery29, Yahoo, Art21, and the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health. Formerly a cinematographer in New York City, her work can be seen in documentaries on Netflix, HBO, New York Times, the Sundance-premiering documentaries "The Great Hack" and "Mucho Mucho Amor." In her free time, Souki runs an AI consulting firm, designs educational programming, consults on nonfiction subject relations, and advocates for trauma-informed practices in documentary film.
