Hermann Benke was born on June 7, 1866 in Linz, Austria. He was an actor, known for Der König amüsiert sich (1918), Der Meineidbauer (1915) and Die Tragödie auf Schloss Rottersheim (1916). He died on March 25, 1937 in Vienna, Austria.

The actor Hermann Benke learned his acting abilities at the theater before he also was able to gain a foothold in the film business.

In the 20's came his last cinematical works.
