Biography

Born and raised on the Central Coast, NSW, directing & acting has always been an interest for Ben. Pulled by wanderlust, he spent 8 years travelling around the world seeing and receiving stories from all walks of life. In mid - 2019 he returned home, in hopes of telling some of his own.

Ben is an award - winning actor, director and writer whose latest short films have gained significant attention at major film festivals around the world. The eldest brother of the Corlett family, his 2nd short, AWAKENED, won Ben the award of Best Indie Filmmaker at the Los Angeles Film Awards. He also won the award for Best Actor at the 2021 New York Film Festival for his starring role in AWAKENED, and his latest short, TAKE A BREATH, was selected into the prestigious & Academy Award qualifying FLICKERFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and in consideration AACTA for Best Short Film.

He most recently can be seen on the NETFLIX series PAPER DOLLS and the long-running Seven television series HOME & AWAY, and in you can see him playing Nikita in Luke Sparke's new film Primitive War now on Apple TV & Prime Video.
