André Hawk is a Brazilian filmmaker recognized for his sensitive and sophisticated visual style, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Maria Bethânia, Xuxa, José Loreto and Paulo Gustavo.
His recent works include directing the short film Tônia, A Diva no Espelho (2021), and serving as Director of Photography on the short films Pandemonium (2023) - internationally awarded for its cinematography - Travessia (2023), O Peixe (2021), and the documentary A Girl Called Marina (2019). In 2023, he was the cinematographer of the feature film There's No Free Lunch and in 2024, he was responsible of the NPR's Tiny Desk's cinematography featuring Milton Nascimento and Esperanza Spalding.
For TV and streaming, he produced the behind-the-scenes for the Globoplay's series Unsoul (2019 & 2021) and also served as director of photography for shows including Desafio nas Escolas with Fábio Porchat (2022), Passeio Completo (2024) with Ana Furtado for TLCBR, and Maria Vai com os Outros (2024 & 2025) with Maria Ribeiro for UOL Universa.
