Leah Vlemmiks

Leah Vlemmiks is a self-taught Canadian-British Writer/Director and producer. Her narrative short Agnes premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where it was the only UK short selected. Starring Eileen Davies (Vera Drake, Mr. Turner) and Clare Holman (Sherwood, The Crown), AGNES also received a Belief Grant from The Uncertain Kingdom. Her previous films have screened at SXSW, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Raindance, HBO Urbanworld, 1.4 and many more. Her music video collaboration with artist Witch Prophet "Tesfay" premiered at SXSW, won Best Music Video at the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival, was nominated UKMVAs and Prism Prize Top Ten by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. Leah also directed and co-wrote six episodes of the unscripted series, Get Hooked starring Faye Marsay (Adolescence, Andor) and featuring Rosie Jones (Sex Education, Disability Benefits).
