Biography

Jacopo Marchini is a director and cinematographer based in Rome. He shot three feature films as DOP between Italy, Tunisia, Slovakia and New York, working with cinema icons such as Christopher Coppola and Mariel Hemingway. As a director, he made two short films: I Nostri Giorni, selected in BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals and awarded at WorldFest Houston, Venice Shorts and Cannes Film Awards, and Il Vecchio Terribile with Franco Nero. As DOP he has worked on projects for BBC, Amazon Prime, Warner, Sony and Universal, as well as music videos with artists such as Mengoni, Alessandra Amoroso and Il Volo, with over 50 million views on YouTube. His work focuses on character and narrative tension, with a distinctive visual approach spanning fiction, music videos and advertising. AIC member since 2019.
