Jason Lee (CJP Lee) is a writer/producer/director of BAFTA and Academy Awards considered films. A British Academy Innovation Fellow, Lee is founder of Evolution Film with Terry Bamber, producing films advancing equality. The author of the internationally esteemed set text, 'The Psychology of Screenwriting' (Bloomsbury, 2014, new edition 2026), Lee is the author of numerous critical and creative works, including screenplays, and novels. Lee's novel ‘Unholy Days' is taught in the UK and Spain. His book ‘PTSD in Film and Media’ was published by Palgrave MacMillan in 2025. Lee’s book ‘Paranormal Media: Beyond Hauntology’ is also published by Palgrave. He has won many awards, including the Salisbury International Arts Festival Prize, Aesthetica Prize, and Ware Open Prize, and he has been nominated for the Queen's Anniversary Prize. Lee is a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society who have accredited work by Evolution Film, a Jinty Nelson Teaching Fellow with The Royal Historical Society, Lee is a Dr William’s Scholar at The University of Glasgow.
