Syed Sahil is a Bangladeshi Filmmaker & Actor based in Paris, France. Trained in both filmmaking & acting, He is known for crafting emotionally resonant narratives that explore identity, memory, trauma, human connection.
Sahil has directed several independent Films, including Unseen and Dabaghor. His Short Film Unseen was officially selected for the Nikon Film Festival 2026, one of France’s most prestigious short film competitions. Competing among more than 2,500 films, Unseen achieved an exceptional milestone by securing 2nd place in the Public Voting Ranking, drawing thousands of viewers and widespread audience support. The film tells the story of Olivia, a woman struggling with the emotional scars of a past accident, and explores themes of self image, beauty, and healing through human connection.
As a Bangladeshi filmmaker working in Europe, Sahil bridges cultures through his storytelling. His projects have brought together international casts and crews while maintaining strong collaborations with Bangladeshi artists and technicians. Through visually compelling narratives and emotionally authentic characters, he seeks to create films that resonate across languages and borders.
