- Edwin Rosskam was born on March 15, 1903 in Munich, Germany. He was a writer and producer, known for Los peloteros (1951), Pedacito de tierra (1953) and El Puente (1951). He was married to Louise Rosskam. He died on February 25, 1985 in Roosevelt, New Jersey, USA.

- Was hired by then Governor of Puerto Rico, Rexford Tugwell, to photograph and document every aspect of the island, from the rural areas to the cities. His photographs were shown in exhibition (along with the works of his wife Louise) titled "Picturing Puerto Rico Under the American Flag: The Photographs of Louise Rosskam 1937-1948," in May 2012.
