Oliver is a Naarm-based producer with a passion for supporting emerging creatives to realise ambitious and diverse screen projects. Drawing from their identity as a neurodivergent, queer, and non-binary creative, Oliver produces stories which provide a voice to people excluded from mainstream narratives, and is the co-founder of production company Inner Pictures.
Their non-fiction work includes CODA: an experimental short documentary about artist Jodee Mundy OAM. Among their fiction projects is Unwilted - a woman-led production which depicts a woman experiencing a miscarriage - and See for Yourself: a 10-minute visceral psychological thriller experienced through the eyes and ears of a Deaf teenager. Their films have screened at multiple festivals including Monster Fest, Image+Nation, and Melbourne Women in Film Festival, while See for Yourself is now streaming on ABC iView.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), they went onto complete a Graduate Certificate in Politics and International Studies at the University of Melbourne. In 2021, Oliver was one of twenty LGBTQIA+ Young Leaders selected to take part in the Minus18 Foundation's inaugural Young Leaders Program. Specialising in accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in media, Oliver also works as a development producer, assistant director, story consultant and photographer.
