Kylie Aoibheann

Kylie Aoibheann is an Australian writer, director and editor. Her short supernatural horror The Dysphoria (2025) won Best Picture in Fantastic Fest's horror shorts program Short Fuse, the City of Melbourne Award for Best Australian Short Film at Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and the Shorts Jury Award for Best Director at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. Produced with the support of Queer Screen and Screen Australia, The Dysphoria was also an official selection at Melbourne International Film Festival, Fantasia International Film Festival, Beyond Fest and SXSW Sydney, and was nominated for the Iris Prize. Her previous short films include the psychological horror See for Yourself (2019), streaming in Australia on ABC iView, and documentary Farewell Happy Fields (2017), featuring celebrated author Fiona Wright.
