- A qualified lawyer and Chartered accountant, Shelley worked in the film studio system for over sixteen years, holding the position of Vice President of EMEA Theatrical Finance for 20th Century Fox, before exiting the company in late 2019 after overseeing the EMEA transition of the company to Walt Disney Studios.
During her time at Fox, Shelley was responsible for the forecasting and distribution of 20th Century Fox Studio's films, as well as assessing the viability and distribution of new projects. Shelley's hands-on management took her as far as personally being on the ground when setting up new Fox subsidiaries in far-flung places such as Moscow, Siberia, and Kazakhstan.
Shelley oversaw the distribution and financial release strategy of films such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Avatar, Life of Pi, Devil Wears Prada, The Martian, The Revenant, The Greatest Showman, and many more.
The following franchises also came under her stewardship: X-Men, Ice Age, Deadpool, Die Hard, Planet of The Apes, Alien, How to Train Your Dragon, Night at The Museum, and many others.
Shelley recently accepted the position of CFO at Ditto Films Ltd - she also has a personal production deal with Ditto. Utilizing her extensive global film industry connections, Shelley regularly works as a consultant on various non-Ditto productions.
As a producer, she completed her first independent feature film, LAIR, in December 2020 during the global pandemic, bringing the movie in on time and under budget.
Working alongside writer/director Adam Ethan Crow, Shelley currently has three feature films in development - 'The Assassin Factory,' 'Bone Harvest' and 'The Al Pacino Fan Club.' Two television shows are also in the works.
Shelley is one of the few producers who has experienced the film industry from the studio side and the independent side.
