Dennis Nishi

Emmy Award-winning documentary producer, director and motion graphics animator that creates work for public television and radio. Nishi began in broadcast as a digital producer at PBS SoCal in Burbank. He produced his own web stories and helped other producers to shoot episodes of SoCal Connected, a regional news magazine show. He shot much of the footage for the Woolsey Fire and behind the scenes at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. He eventually moved to the art and culture series Artbound where he co-directed an episode about the 90s pop culture zine Giant Robot. Nishi has also been a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, NPR and the BBC World Service.
