Biography

Russell was born in Nash County, North Carolina. He is a country boy at heart that went to high school at Southern Nash. He later graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a concentration in Biology. He began his career in criminal justice starting in 2006 and continues to serve the same profession today. While employed he went back to school and received a Master's Degree from Methodist University. Russell is married to his wonderful, beautiful wife, Cherie Winstead. They were married April 12, 2008. Together they have one son. He has a passion for the outdoors and is an avid compound-bow hunter. His other hobbies include fishing, hiking, camping, martial arts, weightlifting, and woodworking. Russell is also a Christian and an active member at the Baptist church he serves. He is a part time actor who has played an extra deputy in Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.
