Biography

Fiona Hill was born in October 1965 in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England, UK.

Served as an intelligence analyst under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama (2006-2009), and Donald Trump as deputy assistant and senior director for European and Russian affairs on his National Security Council staff.

She once sat right next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at a dinner where she observed that he said very little, never once touched his food nor drank what was served at the table. She surmised that he was very likely wary of being poisoned like Russian defector, Alexander Litvinenko, who died of radiation poisoning in London in 2006 on orders from Putin. Hill also noticed that Putin's personal notes had extra large fonts and she was close enough to discern that he did not wear contact lenses.

She was awarded the CMG (Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George) in the 2024 King's New Years Honours List for her services to International Relations. She is a Senior Fellow, Brookings Institute in Washington D.C., United States of America.

We do have to have an honest acknowledgment of the fact that whether people liked it or not, Trump was elected by Americans in 2016.
