Biography

Langley McArol is an American actor, writer, and producer known for his work across television, film, voice-over, and stage. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, McArol was raised in the Appalachian region of Southern Ohio by his mother and grandparents before later relocating to New York and Los Angeles to pursue his career in the entertainment industry.

McArol began studying performance while attending college for Social Sciences and Voice, where an instructor encouraged him to explore acting. He later trained under theatre director and acting coach Jim "Taylor" Hayes before receiving a performance scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.

Following his formal training, McArol built his career working throughout the Southeast market in theatre, independent film, voice-over, and television before relocating to Los Angeles in 2016. His early professional work included the independent short films "One of the Girls" and "Superhero," projects in which he also served as writer, producer, and director.

McArol has since appeared in a range of notable television productions including the FX drama "Snowfall," AMC’s "Halt and Catch Fire," ABC’s "American Crime," CBS’s "Reckless," and the Freeform television film "Teen Spirit." His work is often recognized for balancing grounded dramatic performances with strong comedic instincts, establishing him as a versatile character actor across both network and streaming platforms.

In addition to his on-camera work, McArol has continued to develop projects as a writer and producer, with credits including "House Arrest," "The Bag," and multiple independent productions.

McArol is also a long-term survivor of a rare childhood cancer diagnosed during infancy, an experience that has informed both his creative perspective and advocacy for resilience and perseverance throughout his career.
