Biography

Sekou Calhoun was born in Alabama and raised Bronx, NY. He is an actor, known for his role as John Lovely in Snoop Robinson’s Frienemies Limited Series a/k/a Besties and Backstabbers (2025), and as Dorian the love interest of Claudia Jones in Do it for the Gram (2024). He has also appeared in several stage plays.

Calhoun is a diamond in the rough! He is recognized for his comedic timing and ad lib. Film maker, director and former Dallas Cowboys football player loved his ad lib so much, he allowed Calhoun to write his own lines in the stage play Juneteenth.
