Biography

Konstantin Pivovar is a Belarusian writer-director based in Los Angeles. He is passionate about making one-of-a-kind movies that dive deep into psychological aspects. Konstantin loves challenging himself to develop fresh ideas free from preconceived notions about genre, tone, or traditional filmmaking techniques. His previous short films (co-directed with Lilia Le Dieu) include a genre-bending "Iconic: a Four-Act Comedy," philosophical black-and-white drama "Breadcrumbs," a visual dream "My Train Leaves Tomorrow at 7", and existential "Paintless." He strives to take artistic risks and make bold choices.

He bases his storytelling on strong, authentic performances and constantly searches for highly skilled actors who want to play unique characters. He loves close collaboration and aspires to build a solid filmmaking family for a lifelong creative journey.

Konstantin was raised in Minsk, where he developed an early interest in theater, stage acting, and classical literature. He lived in London and Warsaw before settling in Los Angeles.
