Dorien Davies(I)

Dorien Davies is a Executive Producer, Writer and Principal Puppeteer. She grew up in a bookshop in Santa Barbara CA and attended Mount Holyoke College where she majored in Theater and Studio Art. Dorien trained at a Meisner conservatory and The Groundlings Theater where she fell in love with sketch and improv comedy. She was recruited into the Jim Henson Company’s cast of "Puppet Up" where she learned how to puppeteer. Dorien has been a Principal Puppeteer at The Jim Henson Company since 2013. In that time, she has created and voiced dozens of beloved characters for film and TV. Since 2021, Dorien has been creating children's television content of her own in recent years. She is an Executive Producer, Co-Creator and Star of the Jim Henson Company's television special and series, "Wowsabout," airing on PBS in the spring of 2026.
