Apurv Swami is an Vancouver-based Director of Photography and technician - an affiliate member of the CSC. With over 60+ productions behind him, including several short films, features, web series, and commercials, he is deeply passionate about crafting stylized visuals that elevate grounding and emotional narratives. Especially ones that are bold, personal, and leave lasting impact on the audience.
Known for his precision with lighting and lensing, Apurv has led camera departments on multiple projects in Vancouver and is passionate about crafting emotionally resonant visuals that serve story and style.
Most recently, he served as a DP & Cam Op on two Panavision-lensed projects, 1 drama short called rEset And (2025) and another web series Lusars (2026). Also he served as DP on a vertical drama web series with his own gear.
In the indie world he participated in the MAMM competition for last 2 years having co-produced and DPed finalist short films, Protocol Dusklight (2025) and Delivery (2024, Hon. Mention Best Film).
Prior to his cinematographic pursuements, Apurv worked as a VFX artist at DNEG India, with credits on major films like "Dune (2021)", "No Time to Die (2021)", "Venom (2018)" and "Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)".
