Biography

Sam Feuer is an actor and film producer known for bringing extraordinary true stories to the screen.

Feuer trained at the prestigious British American Drama Academy's *Midsummer in Oxford* program before being cast by Steven Spielberg as Olympic athlete Yosef Romano in the Academy Award-nominated *Munich* (2005). He later appeared opposite Martin Landau and Tony Curtis in *David & Fatima* (2008).

Inspired by his collaboration with Spielberg, Feuer turned to producing. While backpacking through Kenya, he secured the life rights to Kimani Maruge after reading his extraordinary story on the front page of the *Los Angeles Times*. He went on to produce *The First Grader* (2010), directed by Justin Chadwick and starring Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris. Premiering at the Telluride Film Festival, the film was runner-up for the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival behind *The King's Speech* before earning more than twenty international honors, including an NAACP Image Award and a Satellite Award.

Following the success of *The First Grader*, Feuer founded Big Boy Films, where he develops and produces feature films and documentaries inspired by remarkable people and defining moments in history. He also served as a consulting producer on the Sundance Audience Award-winning documentary *The Green Prince* (2014).

Outside of filmmaking, Feuer is a longtime yoga practitioner, vegan, and advocate for animal welfare.

One of the most surreal moments in my life was driving down Sunset Boulevard and seeing that the huge billboard of Miss Castaway and the Island Girls (2004) with Michael Jackson, which is considered the 2nd worst movie of all time, had been replaced with the billboard of Munich (2005), one of the best movies of all time. It really put my career in retrospect.
