  • Randy Danner was born on April 6, 1965, in Lugano, Switzerland. His late father Andreano, was from Liestal, Switzerland, and his late mother Maria Dolores was from Valencia, Spain. In 1983, he began a lengthy career playing American Football. He started playing with the Lugano Seagulls, the first American Football team in Switzerland, in the tight-end position. In 1985-86, attended a football camp with coach Sam Rutigliano of the Cleveland Browns, and was drafted to the Milano Rams in the Division A league in Italy. He played professionally with the Rams in 1985-86. With the Lugano Seagulls, won the first Swiss Bowl in 1987 and the first European Championship Bowl in Amsterdan, Holland. In 1989, won his second Swiss Championship Bowl, with the Berner Grizzlies.

    In January 1991, decided to move to Los Angeles, to study English and business at UCLA. In 1992, began playing for the California Bandits, a semi pro team based in Pasadena. With the Bandits, he won back to back Championship in 1993 and 1994. In 1994 was asked to play professionally with the Erding Bulls in Germany, in the tight-end position. In 1995 was invited to try-out with the Philadelphia Eagles, and spent the season playing tight-end and special teams.

    In 1991, discovered his love for the film industry and acting. He was hired in his first movie, The Last Boy Scout, starring Bruce Willis, in the role of a football player in the opening scenes.
