      A former stand-up comedian, he was founder of Pips Comedy Club in 1962. His son Marty (1955-2013) took over before becoming a casino host. His other son Seth Schultz also helped mange the place. It had been named after the Dickens character of Pip. The club was bought in 2005 by Joseph Vincent Gay.
