Sherise Blackman

Sherise Blackman is a British actress and writer who trained as a youth at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, before studying Theatre and Film at the renowned BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. She later refined her screen craft at Identity School of Acting in London. Sherise works across film, television and audio as both a performer and writer, with experience in writers’ rooms on major British and international productions. Alongside her creative work, Blackman has supported initiatives focused on widening access within the screen industries, including supervising the development of emerging production talent through Netflix and Shondaland's 'The Ladder Programme'. In 2025 Sherise created, wrote and starred in the Audible Original comedy series Do Not Disturb: Good Sex in Progress, marking her debut as the creator of an original scripted audio series. She lives in the UK with her husband and their three adult children.
