Biography

Shani Pride is a writer, director, actor, speaker, and author whose work explores the intersection of storytelling, creativity, and human transformation. With more than two decades in the entertainment industry, her career spans film, television, theater, voiceover, and commercial work.

Pride wrote, directed, produced, and stars in With Love, Me, a short film shot in Paris that serves as a proof of concept for her feature film of the same name. An intimate exploration of heartbreak, identity, and becoming, the film follows a woman navigating Paris as she confronts the life she thought she wanted and begins to discover who she wants to become.

Pride is also the creator and writer of Brownsville Redemption, a television series in development exploring themes of identity, resilience, grief, and transformation.

As an actor, Pride has appeared in television series including CSI: Miami, Weeds, and American Horror Story, as well as independent films, major studio productions, and national commercial campaigns. She also stars as Summer in With Love, Me, which she wrote and directed.

A classically trained actor, Pride began her theater training at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and continued her studies at UCLA's School of Theater. Her creative work is grounded in a belief in storytelling's ability to reveal truth, expand possibility, and create meaningful change.
