He left Sacramento to study Chekhov at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, before earning his BFA in Acting from AMDA-LA. He is a company member of Celebration Theatre. In 2019, Hogy composed a rock opera of the Greek tragedy, Antigone. It wasn't great. But damn it, he did it.
