Biography

Ben Jehoshua

Mini bio

  • Ben Jehoshua grew up in Haifa, Israel in the 80's obsessed with storytelling through video production and editing, producing music videos and experimental shorts. At 16 he was hired to direct a scripted project starring 5th graders of a local religious Jewish academy. The archeology-themed special effects film was shot in tunnels underneath Jerusalem and the ancient city of Akre and debuted in front of an enthusiastic crowd of parents. After spending two years teaching kids how to film and edit their own videos, Ben moved to Los Angeles in '93 to attend Columbia College Hollywood.

While in college Ben directed a slew of independent music videos and secured a job as a video editor at Campos Creative Works, a creative agency in Santa Monica, CA. Ben also worked as a freelance TV editor, cutting his editorial teeth on shows like Unsolved Mysteries, The Great Lifetime Makeover and Intimate Escapes.

Ben started his own successful production outfit in 2001, Image Line Productions with two partners. The company went on to produce high end presentations for companies like Honda, Intel, Microsoft, Chevron among others, and scores of toy commercials for clients like Mattel and MGA Entertainment. Ben was also tapped to edit for the 2006 Oscars and the 2009 Emmy's.

Ben started working in development and editing reality television in 2009. After freelancing as a producer and editor Ben was tapped as a Vice President of Development for Brian Graden Media in 2014, putting him in charge of production teams developing shows for the company.

In late 2014 Ben also directed his first feature film, The Chosen starring Kian Lawely, a project he co-wrote with two partners.

Ben has been engaged in writing feature projects with several partners, looking for the perfect opportunity to put his storytelling skills to the test.
