Biography

Howerton was going to study Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University before deciding to attend Juilliard, where he graduated with a B.F.A. in the Actor Training Program. He is a fairly talented vocal mimic and acquits easily to impersonating various dialects, a skill he developed during his "military brat" childhood which require constant moving to different areas and countries.

He was born in Japan to American parents, Janice and Glenn, a decorated fighter pilot. He has a sister, Courtney. He was raised in several countries (including South Korea and England) as a military brat, eventually graduating from junior high and senior high schools in Montgomery, Alabama. His ancestry is English, Scottish, Irish, German, and, from his maternal grandfather, Ashkenazi Jewish.

Howerton is the only writer/actor on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005) to not share a first name with his character as he didn't wish to be associated with such a dislikable character.

Enjoys snowboarding, skiing, golf, and basketball.

Corey Howard, his character from That '80s Show (2002), was the cousin of Eric Forman (Topher Grace), the central character of That '70s Show (1998).

One of the things that makes any good entertainment, whether it's a play, drama, comedy, television, film, whatever, is that you feel a certain amount of spontaneity.
