- Joseph Cacace was born on August 2, 1962 in New York City, New York, USA. He is an actor and cinematographer, known for Images in the Afternoon (1983), They Don't Cut the Grass Anymore (1985) and Abracadaver! (2008).
- From 1988 to 1991, was an Associate Producer for "The Criterion Collection" where he worked on such Laserdiscs as Scorsese's "Taxi Driver", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia", Tati's "Mon Oncle" and Hitchcock's "Rebecca" and "Notorious". Now an Executive Chef , he has appeared on NBC's "Today Show" 8/2003 making Gourmet Quesadillas with Lester Holt.
- Close friend of Cult Director Nathan Schiff since 1979.
- Has completed his trilogy of short films which he began in 2005. These are personal "film poems" meant to convey sadness, isolation, loss, loneliness & urban anxiety. They are entitled: "Now It's Dark" (2005) "Darker" (2005) "Elegy" (2007) Elegy was finally completed in 2011. All three pieces in the trilogy may be seen on Vimeo.com.
