Fred Raynaud is a French writer-director whose work blends genre cinema with intimate, character-driven drama. His first short film (2023), "The Shadow of the Beast" (24 min), set in 1940s occupied France, follows a lonely 9-year-old boy who interprets the encroaching horrors of war through the legend of the Beast of Gévaudan. He continued to explore psychological tension and domestic violence with "Drops of Life" (2024), in which a woman’s collapsing marriage merges with haunting, water-soaked visions as every falling drop becomes a countdown to tragedy. (2026) Fred Fred Raynaud develops his debut feature film, a sci-fi thriller, expanding his fascination with fear, memory, and the blurred lines between perception and reality.
