Joshua Nicolás Prits is a Peruvian-American filmmaker whose intimate storytelling explores the fabric of Panamerican identity through the lenses of everyday folklore and cultural memory. Drawing from a multicultural heritage, Prits crafts films that celebrate both his Latino roots and his all-American experience.
A graduate of Pepperdine University, Prits developed his artistic vision while predominantly growing up in the eclectic sprawl of the DC metro area. His work as a producer, writer, and director reflects a commitment to authenticity and the power of cinema as a bridge.
Through his independent filmmaking, Prits works to champion underrepresented voices while exploring the universal themes such as community, belonging, and the folklore of the day-to-day.
