She has six siblings including: Andrew, Stephanie, Ashley, Trent, Amber, and Taylor. Her ancestry is primarily English and Scandinavian.

Her career began with local modeling and television commercials in Utah. She had significant roles in Perilous Journey (1983) and Solo (1984). She has played more minor roles including Helen in Cowboys and Angels (2000). She is a multi-talented entertainer as an actor, singer, songwriter, and dancer.
