Sahira Mirza

Sahira Mirza is an Indian screenwriter based in Mumbai. Born into a middle class family on March 2nd, 1966, she studied up to high school from King Circle, Mumbai and did part-time journalism for a couple of years before trying her hand at screenwriting in Bollywood. She got her first break in 2006 and wrote story and screenplay for film Purab Aur Paschim, starring Ravi Kishan, Suman Ranganathan and Mustaq Khan, directed by Jayprakkash Shaw. The other film she wrote story and screenplay for is Tu Hamar Hau. The leading actors in this film, directed by Jayprakkash Shaw, were Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Naghma and Kamaal R. Khan. Married to distinguished Bollywood director and screenwriter Miraq Mirza, Sahira has two grown-up children, daughter Masooma Mirza and son Sarosh Mirza. She is presently working on a couple of new scripts on today's burning topics.
