Biography

Claudio Musumeci is an actor with a solid stage background and he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York under Susan Grace Cohen and studied film acting and technique with Academy Award-winner Lina Wertmüller. Beyond acting, Claudio is a professional airline pilot, holding both CPL and ATPL licenses, with experience flying fighter jets in the U.S. He is a swing singer, for which he was honored with an award from the Sicilian Association of Greater Boston. His physical skills include boxing, judo, soccer, target shooting, and horseback riding.

Claudio is also a professional airplane pilot. In 2000 he attended the Catania Aeroclub, graduating as a Commercial Pilot (CPL) in 2003. He attended the Alitalia Flight Training Centre in 2003, earning the Airline Pilot License (ATPL) and the Multiple Crew License (MCC). In 2004, he moved to the USA, in Arlington, Texas, flying mainly in the Southern States. In 2005, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, to the Sas Scandinavian Flight Academy, to attend the flight course on the Airbus 320 flight simulator. Although flying has never become his job, Claudio still flies for passion and fun and he has thousand of flight hours on his credit, mainly on General Aviation category aircraft, but occasionally, he has also flown jet aircraft, L-39 Albatros ZA, in Dallas, Texas.

Claudio Musumeci is the son of actor Tuccio Musumeci with whom he worked for years on stage and also in cinema and TV. Claudio always says that his father is his first great acting teacher.
