  • Alejandro Puente is a Mexican actor and filmmaker whose work has placed him at the forefront of a new generation of Mexican storytelling across television, film, and theater.

    He is best known for portraying Rafael "Rafa" Medina in the acclaimed Prime Video coming-of-age series Nadie nos va a extrañar, a role he reprised for its second season. His television work also includes Sebastián "Sebas" Langarica in Netflix’s Rebelde, Santiago Caballero in The Club, Baldor in the Netflix limited series Prison Cell 211, and revolutionary Salvador Cuenca in Mal de amores, adapted from the celebrated novel by Ángeles Mastretta.

    Trained at Mexico’s National School of Theatre Arts, Puente began his professional career on stage, portraying Todd Anderson in the Mexican production of Dead Poets Society and later starring as Ramón in Guillem Clua’s The Swallow.

    His film work includes Pavel Cantú’s Mírame and the upcoming feature Tiempo de jacarandas, an adaptation of Antonio Santa Ana’s novel The Eyes of the Siberian Dog, in which he portrays Sebastián Arteaga. Moving between major international platforms and character-driven independent projects, Puente has built a versatile body of work defined by emotionally complex roles and a commitment to contemporary Latin American narratives.
