Biography

Sultan Mars is a Los Angeles-based music video director and producer, originally from Almaty, Kazakhstan. Sultan Mars is known for creating dark, narrative-driven music videos, including Monolith (2023), Cauldron of Thorns (2024), and Shadows (2025). He is a frequent collaborator with the popular dark wave goth band Twin Tribes. Sultan Mars earned a BA in Directing from Cal State Long Beach. While in college, his student films won multiple jury awards at Campus Movie Fest, the largest student film festival in the world. In 2018, his student work was showcased at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival through CMF.
