Michalis Rakintzis is a Greek singer-songwriter who rose to prominence in the 1980s with a distinctive blend of pop, rock, and electronic music. He began his career with the band Scraptown, whose reggae and funk-influenced sound gained international exposure, before turning to a solo path that quickly established him as a household name in Greece. His debut solo album 'Moro mou faltso' (1987) introduced his trademark style, combining contemporary Western sounds with Greek and Middle Eastern elements. Over the following years, Rakintzis produced a string of popular songs and albums, often experimenting with electronic arrangements that set him apart from many of his contemporaries.
