- Giorgio Consolini was born on August 28, 1920 in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. He was an actor, known for Bellezze a Capri (1951), La leggenda del piave (1952) and Sanremo Music Festival (1951). He died on April 28, 2012 in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
- As a very long-lived singer with a well-set voice, he continued his activity in his old age although with less frequency. Together with Claudio Villa, Luciano Tajoli, Luciano Virgili and Narciso Parigi he was one of the most famous melodic singers in Italy and abroad; unlike his colleagues mentioned he perhaps preferred to give greater emphasis to the melodic line of the song rather than to his own personality.
- On 5 October 2008, Consolini participated in Omaggio a Pino Rucher, una vita per la chitarra ("Homage to Pino Rucher, a life for the guitar"). The event, in honor of Pino Rucher (RAI guitarist) twelve years after his death, was sponsored by the municipal authorities of Manfredonia and by the authorities of the Province of Foggia.
