Tom Hays is a sound designer, musician, leader and tinkerer, who has
has spent his career raising the quality bar for sound in games,
animation and other media.
Tom currently runs Rocket Sound, a company based in North Hollywood providing dialogue, localization, sound effects and other services. Built from the former Technicolor Interactive Services, this core team has been working together for years on major game franchises including Gears of War, Uncharted, Mass Effect and others, as well as animated series and features.
Prior to coming to Technicolor in 2005, Tom ran the sound department at game developer Treyarch, overseeing work on Spider-Man 2, Call of Duty Big Red One and other AAA multi-platform games. Before this, he was audio director at developers NovaLogic and Rocket Science Games, and started Big Sound, one of the first companies focused on sound effects and mixing for interactive media.
