Kristina Hanzalová was born on 3 October 1949 in Vranov, Czechoslovakia [now Slovakia]. She was an actress, known for Nudity (1970) and Miss Universe 1970 (1970). She died on 22 October 2022.
After participating in the Miss Universe 1970 (1970), Hanzalová requested political asylum in Germany. This led to the Czechoslovakian government banning all new beauty contests in the country as well as international competitions, only returning to the world stage in 1989.
