Frédéric Lemay is a Québécois actor, writer, and director. He began his career as a child actor in French Canada, appearing in multiple film and television projects. At 21, he enrolled in the National Theatre School of Canada to refine his craft. Since graduating in 2012, he has appeared in more than 15 theater productions across the country, along with numerous film and television roles.
He wrote and starred in the short film Lunar Orbit Rendezvous, which screened at Locarno in 2018 and won Best Screenplay at the Sapporo Short Fest. He went on to write and direct the short film Megafauna, set for release in 2027, and currently has several other projects in development. Audiences will next see him in Justine Prince's short film Almost Pink at TIFF, and in Charlotte Le Bon's upcoming feature La symphonie du sens, due out in 2027.
