Valentina Carrasco Thayer is a Chilean writer and director based in London. She studied Dramatic Arts in Buenos Aires and at RCSSD in London, where she developed an interest in storytelling across different forms, including stage and screen. Her background in theatre shaped her approach to character, performance and narrative, eventually leading her to explore filmmaking as a medium for developing her own stories.
After experimenting with different audiovisual projects and forms of storytelling, she began her career as a writer and director. Her directorial debut, the short film The Rebirthing Club, was selected for several BAFTA-qualifying film festivals, marking the beginning of her work in independent filmmaking.
