Georgia Leigh Davis

  • Actress
IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Georgia hates writing bios, so generally programs will be filled with comedic nonsense. One of her more recent submission states, Georgia Leigh Davis is really excited to be back on an improv stage! She wants to thank the wild unicorn herd that stole this talented team away from their various projects and brought them to her. She is an awkward nerd girl so she's been making stuff up her whole life and it's nice to know that there's a place that embraces the fantasy! The Doctor picked her up a couple years ago and through some kind of temporal anomaly she ended up in SoCal for her new home. She's spent the time acting and singing on various stages and pretending like she understands the natives. She hates writing bios so if this one doesn't make any sense that's because it's improv. As ever, thanks to friends and family for eternal support... You are the droids I've been looking for!"

Georgia has been acting and singing for as long as she could walk. Her work ethic developed from her mentor, Margo Travis-Greenman, who told her at a very young age that even the biggest stars in the industry only get cast for 1 in every 100 auditions, so if this was her dream she needed to be prepared to work for it.

She is a classically trained operatic first soprano, who had the pleasure of singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the direction of Dr. Robert Shaw for such shows as Carmen, Carmina Burana, and Christmas with Robert Shaw. Her other major vocal coaches include renowned jazz musicians Johnny and Dee Knapp, Margo Travis-Greenman, and Dr. Chris Fowler. She has won many awards for her vocals over the years, performing in such musicals as Into the Woods, Annie, and The Pirates of Penzance.

She is also a versatile actress, who has played both comedic and dramatic roles. She loves Shakespeare, having devoured his entire repertoire by 7th grade. Although she is often typecast as the sweet and motherly type, she thrives in comedic roles. She loves to play villains, as well, and one of her favorite compliments came by means of a director who told her that she had a hard time remembering that she is such a sweet person given how well she plays mean roles on stage.

Some of her all time favorite roles have been playing Annelle in Steel Magnolias, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Ernest, and Kiil in Enemy of the People. One of her favorite productions was being able to participate in a long form improv show called Pretendessee Williams, where she and the cast got assigned an archetype at the start of the show and improvised a full length, 2 act show in the style of Tennessee Williams.
