Roxanna Lewis
Roxanna Lewis is an award-winning director, celebrated choreographer, filmmaker, writer and producer. Roxanna's "in-the-cauldron" of the American melting pot childhood experiences in Washington, DC were galvanized by staunch civil rights activists, work-to-the-bone day laborer immigrants, cutthroat self-made multi-millionaires, black-listed artists, law makers, addicts, criminals, Ivy League poets, failed genius mathematicians and sordid affairs of murdered family members ~ fascinating family characters that led her to explore life's darkest corners through storytelling.

Roxanna's first artistic voices were the international languages of dance and acting, with performances on screen (Sex & The City, Law & Order, We The Jury), and on Broadway/off-Broadway (Christopher Reeve's First You Dream, Broadway workshop for Adventures of Tom Sawyer) and sketch comedy at the New York Comedy Club. Roxanna's creative approach to filmmaking is a grand collision of her past nebulae of experiences - storytelling and her deep roots as a theatrical director and choreographer. Her live work has been presented across the US and beyond, from Broadway to Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors to the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, to performances for international dignitaries and audiences in France, Germany, Scotland, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong with feature stories on BBC-TV, ABC-TV and Moscow Television. Her career has fortuitously led her to work with individuals who happen to be amputees, paraplegic, wheelchair users, deaf, blind, neurodiverse and neurotypical.

Roxanna has made turkey soup while interviewing Dr. Maya Angelou and written with Emmy Nominated Actor/Director Ben Gazzara on his autobiography. Through a series of invaluable mentorships she learned the inner facets of working bi-coastal in commercials, music videos, scripted reality TV, game shows, and news programming. Recent films include Mandy's Voice, The Crossing, The Shift, I Didn't Know and My 3rd Body. She's worked on additional projects with Island Records, SONY UK, MPress Records, ABC-TV, CNN.COM, The Discovery Chanel, Showtime, Mindless Entertainment, DNA Productions, Birdman Filmworks, Kilo Productions and The Revolver Film Company. Roxanna Lewis is also Founder/CEO of Roxxiedanz Productions, Inc. a boutique film & commercial production company that develops scripted and non-scripted tv series, documentaries and short form content celebrating under-represented voices, female-forward content, diversity and inclusivity. RXD specializes in collaborating with artists and producers worldwide delivering provocative productions for film, TV, and stage that elevate humanity and shake up the status quo.
